storyture
Storyture is a digital library pigeon-holed between the fictional and nonfictional sections of a bookstore. We want to deepen how people interact with science by blurring the lines between doing science and doing art.
With Storyture, people join storytelling tribes to tell the story of science. The stories take place in Bakuh, a fictional world of nonfictional things. In Bakuh, concepts are not abstract things. Concepts are living beings with drive, memory, and personality.
We are cells and people and cities.
We believe we are more than individuals: we are interrelated parts. I am you, and you are me, and we can be a spider.
We believe art and science can blend into beautiful colors.
We believe art can contribute to science just as science can contribute to art.
We don't place Easter Eggs but cover every inch with calcium carbonate.
Attention to detail is not only fun but a way to pay respect to the material influencing the story and to the person hearing the story.
We approach the world with wonder.
We believe there is a lot more to learn about the world and find that by blurring the edges, we can step into unexplored fields of grass.
One day, we hope that a research paper can become a musical, an artwork can become a research tool, and the office can become an outdoor playground. Let's paint science pink.
